If so, we are currently seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the following position: Hamilton County Development and Government Relations Coordinator.
The Hamilton County Development and Government Relations Coordinator is responsible for the management and growth of the existing McNabb Foundation fundraising events in and around Hamilton County. The following activities are confined to the greater Chattanooga area, primarily Hamilton and McMinn Counties. Fulfilling internal fundraising campaigns with McNabb Center staff and Board of Directors. Enriching the awareness, engagement and support of local Center/Foundation board members. Increasing community awareness of the McNabb Center/Foundation and their mission by being responsible for interacting with local elected officials including organizing tours of programs and advocating for the mission of the Helen Ross McNabb Center. Supporting community, media, public relations efforts of the Center and Foundation. Managing marketing materials and activities.
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
Education/Knowledge: Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in a business field or a minimum of 3 years related experience with demonstrated success in meeting fundraising goals for a not-for-profit organization. Knowledge of the fundraising process and familiarity with the Greater Chattanooga community preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated history of working with committees, planning special events, setting fund raising goals and meeting or exceeding them, and working closely with volunteers on all levels with a demonstrated ability to motivate to accomplish goals. Familiarity with marketing material design and associated software. Strong history of direct sales experience with an emphasis on donor solicitation are valued for this position.
Physical: Ability to lift fifty pounds and to physically meet the demands of organizing and delivering events out of doors and in doors. Valid driver's license. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
