1.1 Cook I
Under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor, assists in the preparation of food and in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of food storage and food preparation areas.
1. Cook and prepare food.
2. Assists in maintaining cleanliness and safety of all food preparation and food storage areas.
3. Is responsible for adhering to the kitchen’s safety rules.
4. Performs other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor and/or the Executive Director of Extended Child Care.
Minimal Qualifications Required:
At least 18 years of age and able to read and write. A high school diploma (or its equivalent) is preferred. Previous experience in the food service field is desirable.
On an annual basis, works an average of forty hours per week, as scheduled with the Kitchen Supervisor and the President/CEO at the time of employment. An unpaid break of one hour is included in the daily schedule.
