Position: Elder Abuse Case Manager – Victim Support Services

Reports to: Outreach Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Outreach Program Manager, provides casework/case management services to assist elderly and adult disabled victims of crime in resolving issue of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and criminal assault. The focus is to provide services that will assist and empower victims to stabilize their lives after the victimization, help them understand and participate in the criminal justice system, and provide them with a measure of safety and security while assuring that their rights are protected. The incumbent performs all related activities including: 1) in- home assessment, 2) providing information and counsel, 3) linking with appropriate agency and community resources, 4) advocating on the victim’s behalf, and 5) performing basic administrative tasks.

Education/ Experience: A Baccalaureate degree in social work from an accredited college or university or in a related field such as psychology, sociology or other human and behavioral courses with one year of satisfactory work experience in human services field.

Salary: Non-Exempt, Grade 160, $16.41/hour
