Position:                        Caseworker Aid, VSS – Substitute, as needed

Reports to:                   Lead House Manager

Start Date:                    Immediately

Job Summary:

                                      Under the direction of the Lead House manager, this position

                                      welcomes visitors and clients by greeting them, in person or on

                                      the telephone. The CWA maintains security by following

                                      procedures; documenting and monitoring logbooks; ensuring

                                      anyone entering the building after hours has been cleared to enter. 

                                      This person answers the hotline and provides assessment, crisis

                                      counseling, and referral; enters client data into Osnium or Excel

                                      spread sheets. This position provides support to permanent

                                      building residents and ensures appropriate staff are notified if       

                                      emergency situations happen. Second and third shift positions

                                      have additional responsibilities to ensure safety of clients and the

                                      environment and basic duties related to client care.   In addition,

                                      they assist the House Manager with duties related to a safe, clean

                                      and healthy environment.

Education

  Experience:  

A high school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in social services field or customer service field.  

 

 

Additional Requirements:              Must be 21 years old or older. Requires minor lifting (45 lbs), stooping, reaching and bending and ability to climb 4-5 flights of stairs. Required skills: non-judgmental listening, clear communication, and observation of building and client needs.   Must be able to work flexible hours.

 

Salary:                                           Grade 150, $10.67/hour
