Construction Team Member - Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga

Our Construction Team Members work with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area partners and volunteers to provide the highest quality experience possible.  Working with volunteers requires special skills and attitudes.  The Team Member will provide support, help others feel valued and appreciated, communicate instruction, and make sure everyone is involved.  This position is full time and salaried with benefits.  This position reports to the Director of Construction & Land Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage crew leaders, volunteers, and future homeowners who have varying levels of construction experience and skills
  • Provide instruction and communicate tasks for the day
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards
  • Adhere to safety policy and practices
  • Create a positive and encouraging work atmosphere

Requirements:                

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential construction experience
  • Knowledge of local building codes and energy efficient strategies
  • **Required to work Tuesday – Saturday**
  • Possess a clean driving record
  • Must have dependable transportation
  • Pass drug test and background check
  • Agreement with mission of Habitat, a faith based non profit
