Social Innovation Academy: Information Session (An iSeries Event)

United Way’s Social Innovation Academy (SI Academy) is a 6- month leadership program designed to cultivate and equip a network of community problem solvers and social innovators. United Way of Greater Chattanooga is committed to transforming our community by equipping today and tomorrow’s community leaders with the tools and knowledge to positively transform our region. The inaugural Social Innovation Academy session will launch in January 2020. We are seeking applicants from various sectors willing to come together to examine the community's biggest issues, and then develop a set of values, skills, tools, and opportunities that they can utilize to drive and catalyze positive community change.

Summer Collaboration Cohort: Connectedness

How Might We enable the greater Chattanooga community to identify opportunities to change the game for some of our greatest challenges?

Join a summer cohort and collaborate on identifying opportunities to impact our community together.

The Connectedness Cohort will focus on this community challenge:
How might we help parents of Hamilton County students be more active in the holistic development of their children and in the children within their neighborhood?

Commitments to Participate:

  • One hour of work a day for two weeks

  • Work in collaboration with other cohort team members

  • Gather research, form insights, and define opportunities for solving some of the greatest challenges in our community.

  • Access to computer and internet. The cohort will use the virtual platform, Sprintbase, so you won't ever have to leave the office!
